~yawn~

I cannot believe how tired just sitting around and waiting can make a person! Lol. Today Tatiana finished up filming her role in the movie Dixon Diaries, (which I hear has changed the title to Minor Details). She had a load of fun. I however just sat around and yawned a lot. Last night we didn't wrap until almost midnight. Today was relatively easy though because we got out before 9 p.m. I can't wait to see the finished product though. And I really do look forward to her getting more roles. I promise I won't complain about waiting! Ha. Anyway, I must go watch the news now.

Ciao!

Im baaaaaaaaaack!

Ha! Actually, I was never gone, I just didn't feel much like blogging. Life has had it's up's and down's. And luckily things are smoothing out. My mother was very ill this past weekend and ended up in the E.R. and eventually admitted. It was a very emotional time for us, but we just hung in there and visted her as much as we could. On Wenesday we thought we might lose her. Apparently she had other plans and is doing soooooooo much better. The entire family is grateful.

I had not seen some of my family due to family conflicts. However, due to the overwhelming and serious situation everyone was able to put their bad feelings aside and we all got along great throughout those challenging days. I even told my daughter on our drive home one evening, that I wished I could be friends with certain family members yet somehow keep a safe distance. Hmmm a conundrum, yet worthing solving.

My daughter is now working at a regular job and she LOVES it. I don't though. Ha, I don't want her gone too much. Her job is mostly evenings ! I know, I'm being selfish. But, I am getting used to it. She also has a small part in the movie Dixon Diaries which is filming here in Utah. She plays a cheerleader named Lindsay. She films her part beginning tomorrow. I think it will be fun to take her and see her on set again. And bonus! I won't be at my regular job! Lol.

We also had a family friend spend a little over a week with us while he was between apartments. That was a joy at first! Lol I did start to get somewhat irritated. I am so used to being able to walk around in my underwear. Ha ha ha too much info , I know. But, it ended nicely and he is gone now. Sad. Anyway, we will still see him.

Also........... I miss Jessica! Why oh Why did you leave me??????? Don't get me wrong, I love Lindsay and NIkki, it's just that I loved loved loved arguing with you and then laughing about it. The place is not the same, saaaaaaaaaaaaad! Gah. Come back.

That's it for now! Wish us luck tomorrow!

Ciao

Bohemian Sunday

What a great end to a wonderful relaxing weekend. We all went for dinner at Cafe Med. And let me tell you that place has wonderful food. And the portions are HUGE! It was a nice place to go simply because you can get vegetarian or meaty fare there, which meant everyone was happy. We then went for desert at Cold Stone. Yummy coffee flavored ice cream. Tati and her Dad had fun teasing eachother. She even made him a toupe with her abundant mane of hair. I , of course was taking the photos. So, no photos of me again. But, I like it that way! Ha, Cheerio!

Tatianas 17th Birthday

Tatiana's Birthday was Friday April 25. We didn't celebrate until Saturday though. Since we were both available that day. We started out by taking her to get a Gym membership. She was stoked that it was for a whole year. Ha, imagine your teenager asking for gym membership as her birthday gift. Nice. Then we went to Happy Sumo. Her Father Ervin had never tried Sushi, he was totally a good sport but somewhat anxious. He got rid of the anxiousness by indulging in a bit of Saki. Ha, I don't like the taste of it, tastes like rubbing alcohol to me.

We ordered and had a great lunch. Tatiana loves Sushi and if she could eat it every day she would. However, it is cost prohibitive (that girl needs to be rich!).

After lunch we went strolling around The Gateway, we had found Katie earlier working at Buckle. So we stopped by again and brought her sushi for lunch. We then continued on, it was soooo chilly to me and I was mad that I had not brought a sweater. We stopped at Forever 21 where the birthday girl chose a messenger bag and a scarf. Her dad had lots of fun in that store, he even molested the Mannequin......hehehe........ After that! We went to Dicks sporting goods to buy a pair of Nikes. All in a all she had a great birthday, though we did forget the cake. After the Gateway we dropped her off at Nino's house and we had to laugh because the Cake was at our house and her father had to go home also. Oh well the Cake was pretty and I had a piece when I finally got home. Hmmm I might go have another piece now!

Never Ending Story..........

Day after interminable day, I wake at 5:40 and make a pot of Yuban. Beautify (well try to) myself til oh say 6:45. Have a cigarette. Then hustle about making Tots breakfast and mine to go. Sometimes packing a lunch. On the road about 7:30, same boring drive down I15 to my job. (Sometimes I break things up by sputtering to a gas station for fuel, both kinds - coffee and gas.)Get to work. Ahhhhhhhhh gawd I'm bored just telling this non-story. I stay at work til 5:00 (ok, 4:58). Drive home. At home by 5:30. Cook dinner and yell at Tat for having a messy room. Walk around the apartment pissed off because things look out of place. Then I sit down to relax. (sometimes I break things up by actually going somewhere.) I watch t.v., wait for laundry to finish. After the top of the news, I go to bed in hopes of finding a few winks of sleep. Alas, it usually never comes. I sleep in fits. I wake at the weirdest hours. Sometimes I go back to sleep, sometimes I read. Sometimes I just lay there and think. I stare at the Clocks bright red digital numbers warning me that SOON I will have to get up and DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN! Gahhh (I'm not mad, just wondering what the point is.)

Hmmm please send me something to break up the damn monotony. I'm boooooooooooorrrrrrred.

Idol Fever ????

Who are you rooting for? Of course it's David Archuleta all the way for me. I think this kid is bound to win the whole thing. With his voice, his sweet shyness and charisma how could he not? In many polls he was initially the front runner. It seems that David Cook is heading that up at the moment. There was also alot of talk that maybe David A had peaked too soon. So, in a way I think it's a good thing that he forgot the lyrics a couple of weeks ago. He definitely had a great performance last week. His fans show now signs of slowing down in their quest to make him the next Idol. The other contestants just seem like barely a blip to me, though I do like Jason Castro's deprecating silliness. His performances always entertain me. Yet, he is nowhere near the level David is. So VOTE for David A. Ha I do!

Tati said not to post this.........

So I did. HAhahahHA! I think it's cute. Cute little dorks messing around at walmart. Ahhh well it's good clean fun. Ha!

Red & Mookey

moved in . But, only for a month. These used to be our pets. They are currently living with Ervin. Our new place does not allow any pets. Gahhh! We did however talk them into letting us have them for 1 month, while Ervin is out of the country. So.........yesterday I came home and the living room smelled like a farm. Yeah, Tati had not cleaned out Mookeys cage. So I called her and made her come home early so she could do that. Since they are hers, you know! Anway, Mookey loves cucumbers and Red has a habit of floating on his back. We have to keep making sure he is alive. We think his swim bladder is broken. I don't know, maybe? It is fun having them though. We keep them til April 18. Fun times!

Spring Cleaning~~~

Whew! Good thing I found this book amongst my stash of how to books. Picture this : Me walking around a broom in one hand and this book in the other! Ha! I love it.

Home Sweet Home.~~~

I wish!

Spring is here!

Time to start wearing those spring clothes! Although today is much too chilly. My daughter is stoked to be wearing these clothes again. I love this photo, makes me think of Flower Power.

Indian food anyone?

I want some naan! I always spend too much when I go out to eat Indian food. I wish I was best friends with an owner of say, a place like Royal India. Then I could get discounts. Hmmmm

To Be Brown or Not to be Brown........

That is the question I had been asking myself. Anyway, I cannot believe that I actually paid money to HURT myself. Not very funny really. I went to Sunset Beach Friday evening. My daughter frequents this place and is quite dark , a beautiful nutty brown. I however am quite pale. We don't quite match. So .................I was thinking (or as it turns out, not thinking properly) and I gave in and went to this Sunset Beach place. Well............the girl their didn't question me about whether or not I burn. Apparently we both thought I would have no trouble tanning since I am hispanic. Wrong! I went 20 minutes in a Ruva bed. And boy let me tell you, I am so glad I did not go on a work night, or I would have called in sick the next day. The first hours afterward were fine. Then I started to shiver and turned a bright, bright pink. All over, yes All over. The shivering became uncontrollable by about 10 in the evening. My daughter was about with her best friend Linds and not due home til 11:30. She text me about 11:00 asking to stay out longer. I told her "No, please no! I can't fall asleep til you come home." So, she appeared about 11:45. She was quite shocked to find me in full distress. It seems kind of funny now. But, I was sure I was going to DIE! I was shivering uncontrollably, even though I had on pajamas, a robe and was covered in heavy blankets. She heated an extra blanket in the dryer and tucked that in. I warmed up a bit. But the shivers came in waves. I thought I would puke. But happily didn't. She came to lay with me til she was sure I wouldn't die. Lol, Oh my What a night! I woke about 7:00, then again at 9:oo and finally got up at 11:00. The coffee she had brewed for me was quite weak, but I drank it anyway. After a shower (a very careful shower), I made a list. A list for Tati to finish my errands and do some of my grocery shopping. She was more than happy to do it. I think she wanted to get away from all my painful moaning. Anyway, she returned and I was soooooooo happy to see the Aloe Gel. Miracle Gel. She rubbed it on my back and when I lay down on the couch, my shirt was prompty glued to my back. I cannot espouse the medicinal properties of Aloe Gel enough. This stuff is simply amazing. I am almost feeling like myself again. Though I am quite tired. As if the burn sucked all the energy out of me. I hope tomorrow is better, because it is Easter. Tati did buy more eggs and some dye and a cute little basket. I will try to get up early and go shop for some nice dinner items. Not sure yet what I will want to cook up. But it will be fresh. So....today was a bummer for me. Lol. I am sooooooooo glad that Tatiana can drive. Never thought I would say that!

Ciao and Happy Painted Eggs Day!

May tomorrow be the greatest Fashion show ever.!

I had to Spring Forward today.......

Lucky there was no work today. It will take me at least a week to adjust my sleep schedule. gahhh! At least I will love the sun staying around longer. I think they should just leave the time alone after this.

I love the photo above. For some reason it reminds me of Audry Hepburn. Not that she looks like her, maybe just sort of reminiscent of that time period. I love Black and White photos.

Today is an absolutely gorgeous day. I was outside and felt almost compelled to take a long walk. I said Almost !~ Ha. But today I did some major cleaning, it felt good to get that done.

This next Saturday the 15th is the Spring Fling dance at my daughters school. So yesterday Tatis father took her dress shopping. Luckily for him she had already picked it out the day before. Lucky guy , he only had to pay for it. It was his turn! And he certainly got off easy. The last dress cost $100, this one was only $22 and some change. It sure is pretty, a light purple with black straps. I will post a photo of her wearing it next weekend. She will look amazing. As usual.

I want to go see Horton Hears a Who, not sure if I will though. Looks like a cute movie.

Today after cleaning I felt very irritable. So I looked on the WWW for advice. So I am now eating a bowl of whole grain cereal. Hopefully it helps. I don't want to spend the whole day feeling this way. Especially since yesterday was wasted because I slept on my neck wrong. I woke up all twisted and headachy. It wasn't til 5:00 p.m. that I finally pulled myself together.

Yesterday evening I went the to the Rancho Market, they had wonderful oranges for 7 lbs for .99 cents. Limit of 14 lbs. There was nothing nearby to weigh them with, so I only managed to get 9 lbs. I should go back today. It was awesome having freshly sqwozen! (I know not a word!) Orange juice for breakfast. Gave me that much needed boost to clean this darn place properly. They also had avocados 3 for .99 cents, awesome price! I like this store, though it is a little cramped. Everyone is so nice there. Yes, I decided I will stop by there later and pick up more ORANGES! Yay, oranges for everyone in the land.

Well, I am out of random thoughts for now. So I will just say Ciao and Cya later!

Future American Idol........

Tonight David sang his version of John Lennons Imagine. Wow! He was absolutely amazing. He is definitely the front runner in this competition and I hope it stays that way. Effortless, he was born to sing on a big stage. I was watching tonights show and noticed he was last. I thought to myself, Hmmm saving the Best for Last. Well, it turned out that I was more than right. He was the only contestant who seemed to have the foresight to make the song modern and completely perfect for him. I have also been a fan of Jason Castro, the guy with the dreads. I liked his performance, but to tell you the truth I cannot remember what he sang. And that little Danny Noriega really captured my attention tonight. He can be a little snippy to Simon but he pulls it off with his eccentricity and humor. However, David Cooks arrogance showed like a beacon tonight. I hope he hasn't cooked himself, because he really is the better rocker. That Robbie Carrico claims everyone wants him to prove his authenticity, but I really think he wants to prove it to himself with validation from others. Not working. Also, is Robbie's hair real? The judges seemed to like Chikezie tonight, but he does nothing for me. The way he was thrusting his hips while he sang, seemed a little obscene. Who else? Oh, yes David Johns, he was ok. He seemed to just be copying the original. The same with the Yeager guy, he never seems to stand out for me. I'm sure I'm leaving someone out.........hmmm.Oh...David Hernandez, he was awesome! But for some reason I forgot about him when David Archuleta sang. In fact! I forgot what songs the other guys sang after David! He was brilliant to choose such a renowned song. This way, no one will Ever Forget.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhahhhhhhhhhh! What a true disappointment! Team Bruno won, WHAT???? No way. Oh I can't say what I am really thinking, that would be just mean. Anyway I am glad I got to see Mariel perform. And, I'm sure it's not the end for her. But what a bummer, TB was not a great team. TCA was definitely a better team, and their single so much more radio friendly. What a way to end the season. Booooooooooooooo!

Good luck in your future endeavors Mariel.

Dance War Finale.......

From ABC's website:

Episode 107
Mon Feb 18 8/7c
After six weeks of intense training and competition, teams Bruno and Carrie Ann face off on the dance floor for the last time and the winning team is awarded a Hollywood Records contract, on the season finale. And don't miss the announcement of the new line-up of stars for Dancing with the Stars - a primetime first!

I am so excited , I am hoping that Carrie Anns team wins this . I think that they are much more marketable than Brunos team. So I am totally rooting for Mariel tonight. Sorry Zack, you are cute, but Mariel is my girl!

Dear Tatiana...........

Hiding behind the daisies. You're supposed to be watching this movie with tu mama. But, of course you are on the cell phone with KatiBaby. What's up with that. And no.....I'm not driving her home at one in the morning . Try to make reasonable plans. And just because I am always available to you , does not mean you can push it pal. I love you! Ha , and I am writing this the next morning, and you are still sleeping! It's 9:32. I have already cleaned the kitchen, my bedroom and am on the second load of laundry. I have read all the news, blogged on myspace and now here. AND you my dear are still SLEEPING! If you want to go out of town today you must get your sweet arse up and MOVE IT. Ugh........I really hate having to be quiet until little princess decides to raise her glorious head off her dang pillow. Get up so I can VACUUM! Ha I should just vacuum anyway.

Gahhhhhhhhh I don't think I slept very well last night. Obviously you are enjoying sleeping. Hmmm Maybe I'm just jealous because I can't sleep. Sheesh, but you should still GET UP!

The next best thing to buying a T-Shirt.......

and having your long-awaited indie band sign it. Just have them sign your BELLY! I took my daughter and her friend to see Breathe Carolina at Kilby Court. Later that evening I perused the photos she had taken and came upon the one above. Imagine my surprise and raised eyebrows! "Why would you allow strangers to sign your Belly?" I asked my precocious teen, who answered "I didn't want to spend $18 on a t-shirt, so I had them sign me!" Oh, excuse me. Wouldn't a piece of paper suffice? Apparently not as fun. Oh well, life goes on. I just hope she doesnt ask them sign anything else. I will have to pull out the big mommy guns! Ha.

Anyway today is Saturday, and oh what a lovely Saturday it is. The sun has been bright and shiny today. It almost felt like spring, (indoors of course). So we did a little spring cleaning and now my kitchen is pretty again, and not Kluttered looking like it was. Wonder how long that will last.

Hope you are having a great weekend! I am.

In like a Lion and out like a lamb.....

The weather. Yesterday was a far cry from today, weatherwise. Today it was gorgeous all day, though I hear another storm is coming in tonight. Please NOOOOOOOO!
Anyway.....on a lighter note.....Lunch today was Great! We went to Paradise Bakery and it was sooooo yummy. I ordered a Vegetable Pesto sandwich and it came with a cookie. I also ordered coffee! I shouldn't have! I have been tweaking since I got back to work, lol. The food and the friends and the laughs were great! Thanks you guys for chowing down with me! We have to do it again sometime. Indian food anyone?
Well today I get to leave work a little early, my baby has a callback on that audition she went to last week. Double crossies! He he.

A Terrible storm headed this way..........

I want to cry! I hate driving in the snow. The news is saying that the snow should hit during our morning commute. I don't want to die!!!!!!! I love snow when it is all pretty like in the photo above. I took this after one of the last storms from my balcony. I sure do have a nice view. I wouldn't mind if I didn't have to work tomorrow and I could STAY HOME AND ENJOY THE VIEW! Grrrrrrrrrr. Can you tell I'm not looking forward to tomorrow? Huh? Can you? I plan to pray tonight, lots.

(Please God Bless me when I call in when the snow arrives and please don't let my boss kill me.)

Or.......

(Please God Let the Snow pass us by.)

Good night.

P.S.

If this blogger had smiley faces you would SEE ME CRYING!

Dumb Question? Yes...........

Tonight as we watched The longest Yard munching on yummy Basil & Olive popcorn, I posed this question to Tati....."Is popcorn a vegetable?" I thought it was a good question , a quick search of the internet proves I am not the first to ask. We finally checked out the Food Pyramid, it lists popcorn as a grain , and corn as a starchy vegetable. Darn! I thought we were eathing Vegetables! Ha! No............I really didn't think that. I just thought it would be funny to ask. And yes it was funny, to me. Tatiana however took the question seriously as she did not want me to be misinformed.

Cheerio!

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Juan Ambrosio Archuleta! From : 1~27~1932 - 12~3~1993. He would have been 76 today. We miss you but your memory lives on in all of us. And you were truly a great father who taught me alot. Love you.

Great Wonderful day..........

Well today has been a Great Wonderful day. I slept in again, I woke at 6:43 for the second day in a row! A full hour and seventeen minutes late.........mmmmmmmmmmmm sleepy. Good sleepy. Hee Hee I love sleeping....what I hate is having to RUSH to get out the door. Grrrr. Anyway, work wasn't too bad, lot's of laughs and lot's of phones ringing, just another day in Paradise. Yes, I work in Paradise. Hee Just kidding of course. The day was great because yesterday I said "out loud" that I intended to get my daughter back on the audition scene. And lo' and behold, today a perfect audition came to me in an email. Of course I submitted her. Yes! She auditions tomorrow and she has been rehearsing all evening. Ahhh My little star.

But, before rehearsing I made us dinner again, because usually everyday we have dinner. And in keeping with the Vegetarian way, I made a yummy Tomato, Arugula Salad. ( we had leftover arugula and I didn't want to waste it). Yummmmmmmmy. We paired this with Kalamata Olive bread. Of course we had to photograph it before eating it. My daughter said it was like instead of saying a prayer first, we take a picture. Isn't that special.

Is anyone watching American Idol? I am. So is Tatiana, for the first time ever! A friend of hers from school is actually on the show so now we have to watch. After Sanjaya last year I swore I would never watch again after he was voted off. I thought he was the most entertaining little chit. I am also watching Dance Wars because a friend/ex-coworkers daughter is one of the contestants. Jessica Sarangay. Going by the name of Mariel. She is the cutest thing ever, and she has this power-house voice. I wish both Mariel and David the best of luck.

I hope tomorrow is as Great and Wonderful as today. May your day be Great and wonderful also.

Ciao!
Have a Great and Wonderful night.

Peace

Dinner is Served!

Pan Bagnia. My new favorite sandwich. I found this recipe in a book my daughter brought me called The Vegetarian Epicure , by Anna Thomas. I love this sandwich! It has tomatoes, roasted red peppers, arugula, onion , olives, olive oil, wine vinegar, italian parsley and.......mmmm uhhhh salt and pepper. And, of course the bread is key. You must, must, must choose a very nice rustic loaf, a ciabatta will do. We had this 2 nights in a row. And I even packed leftovers for lunch. Yum.

Since we are trying the Vegetarian way again. I have been looking for more ways to incorporate vegetables into our diet without getting bored. So far I must say I have been very good, although the other day I did have a chicken sandwich! Ha! Tats was mad. Too funny. But, Ill be good from now on. Also, not buying meat is sure to be good for both my pocketbook and my waistline. I can't wait to see whats cooking tomorrow!

Ciao
